Hazen Mirts

With a background in insurance as an independent agent, in direct sales, and now in a small business leadership position, Hazen Mirts has spent many years assisting companies and individuals with their life and health insurance needs. As President and Chief Executive Officer of Enrollment First, Inc., Mr. Mirts oversees strategy, daily operations, and sales and marketing efforts for the company, which provides insurance solutions to companies who employ part-time and temporary workers or independent contractors. Since founding the company in 2002, Hazen Mirts has developed the business to serve a variety of different markets, including staffing agencies and small franchises, transportation groups, and various other large or small groups.

Hazen Mirts is driven by the idea that niche markets with temporary, part-time, or contracted employees can take advantage of full-service life and health insurance plans that require minimal employer administration and no cost. Mr. Mirts plays a critical role in moving the company forward in order to better assist Enrollment First's list of more than 1,000 clients, who are served by 25 employees across four states.

As a leader in the Knoxville, Tennessee, business community, Hazen Mirts stays active in several organizations. A member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, he has served as the organization's Knoxville Chapter Secretary and Chapter Vice President, and he functioned as the President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce of East Tennessee. He is also on the Advisory Board for Transamerica Worksite Marketing. Mr. Mirts is a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and is an active supporter of the Tennessee Volunteers.
