After 15 years in talent acquisition and recruiting with a mix on both the corporate and agency side, I have transitioned into my own practice consulting to recruiting teams on recruitment marketing and what I call the development of technical ecosystems for recruiting. That really needs an acronym.

Recruiting has changed. With the economy growing rapidly right now, our business always grows with it. Top talent despises recruiters more than ever before because they just can't stop being harassed. They are immune to your elevator pitch. Today you must combine the right tools, the right strategy and the right skills to position yourself as someone who is worth talking to. Your professional brand is the elevator pitch of a few years ago. You don't have to be famous, but when someone researches you they need to find a track record of material to get a sense of who you are.

Otherwise, you are just another one of "them."
