Managing healthcare treatment and support for yourself or a family member is often a challenging experience. Our healthcare advocacy network and practice grew out of such experiences in our own community and healthcare journey.

The Healthcare Advocate Network (HAN) was designed to work closely with patients, their loved ones and other professionals working to provide care and comfort in the healthcare experience. The role of an advocate is to offer independent support to those who need to be heard and to ensure clear and effective communications between all the stakeholders. The advocate assists people in accessing and understanding appropriate information and services to better navigate their healthcare experience.

Our services include coaching you, your family or your agent, (power of attorney/guardian), to become a more effective advocate too. In many cases, we will advocate for you or with you in order to better understand this unfamiliar environment. We provide demonstrated communications strategies, coaching and collaborative approaches. These methods are designed to help you understand and navigate important decisions, options and treatment plans with healthcare professionals. We also provide communication services that facilitate better dialogue with other family members and stakeholders.
