I'm an U.S.-American who's spent 10 years in Germany, where I traveled extensively, sampled good beer, and made lasting connections with people from all over the world. I'm passionate about language—particularly phonetics, language change and second language acquisition—and have been told I have a knack for bridging cultural and linguistic barriers. In addition to German fluency, I speak/understand the following languages to varying degrees of mediocrity: Polish, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, and French.

I think language changes lives. An integral part of our identity, language influences the way we think about everything. Maintaining your linguistic identity while adding another language to your core has the power to help you grow personally as well as open up important doors for you. I love talking to people who are interested in languages, whether they speak several or just want to learn more.
