I am a SHAM of 2 step-children, 2 fury children and 1 big child (AKA: DH). I have tried numerous things in life, but staying home and caring for my family is what I always seem to fall back on because it makes me (and the fam) the happiest! We have learned that money, although important, is not everything. Being able to stay home and care for my family is a great blessing. I am truly jumping (probably head first) into the homesteading journey whole heartedly in order to give my family everything they deserve. I a newby gardener, canner, farmer's wife, couponer, frugalist, and mom who is trying to provide the healthiest, freshiest, homegrown, cheapest and safest life they can have along with learning to prepare (me and the fam) for the unexpected. We LOVE the outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, farming, walking, etc. I also enjoy scrapbooking, cooking, surfing the web, and catching an occasional episode of Bones or something! :) I hope to inspire moms to adventure into homesteading along with learning many new things myself.
