Hello. Yes, I'm Heather Reyes - writer, editor, publisher, 'Londoner' . I'm co-founder, with my husband Malcolm Burgess, of Oxygen Books and have edited all nine of the urban anthologies in our CITY-PICK series.
Before setting up Oxygen Books, I'd written and published a range of things - a novel, Zade (Saqi Books, 2004), lots of short stories, articles, some poetry and four illustrated books for children. Now that Oxygen Books is 'ticking over', I'm getting back to some of my own writing again and I'm very excited at the prospect of having two books (one non-fiction, one fiction) coming out in 2014 - An Everywhere: a little book about reading and Miranda Road. As well as a passion for reading and writing, I love classical music and jazz. I have two utterly amazing kids, Ed Reyes and Jo Clark-Reyes, and three fabulous grandchildren - Abby, Amy and Jacob.
