About Me

šŸ‘‹šŸ» Salut! I’m Heather. My pronouns are she/they. I’m a Research Ops Coordinator at Webflow. My background is in Media & Communications and Library & Information Science. In my past professional life, I was a Librarian in the Film & TV industry for over a decade before pivoting into UX Research Operations. If you really think about it, the library is the ultimate example of user experience: The librarian or archivist is the UX/ReOps Professional, the library is the Information Architecture (along with the product itself) and the library patrons are the product's users.

When I began my career transition in late 2018, I initially aimed to break into UX Research since there was quite an overlap of librarians who had transferred their soft skills to the UX world. Along the way, I discovered Research Ops and felt a strong connection with it. I've combined my library career with UX training by empowering cross-functional partners in Design, Product Management & Engineering to conduct DIY (or as I like to call it, "homemade" 🄧) research to create impact & value for stakeholders & company/business objectives.

Along with my distinctive background, my motivation to always be learning has allowed me to bring value to the Research Ops field.

I am also an aspiring colorist (I have a very large collection of coloring books for grown-ups), obscure pop culture savant and Bob's Burgers-obsessed šŸ”.

Seriously. I love Bob's Burgers. A lot.
