Heather Findell

Hello! I am currently a high school math teacher at DC West in Valley, NE. I will be starting my 14th year of teaching in the fall. I teach grades 9-12, and next year, I will be teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Metro College Algebra, Metro Trigonometry, Statistics, and Calculus. I have a true love for both mathematics and teaching. I also sponsor the cheerleaders and the student council. I truly enjoy working with people of all ages, but the high school students are by far my favorites.

I grew up in Plainview which is a small town in Northeast Nebraska. I attended Nebraska Wesleyan for undergraduate school and received a Master of Art's in Teaching Mathematics at UNO in 2003. I am currently working on a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction at Concordia University, and after this class, I will be half done!!

I just celebrated my first wedding anniversary and learn more about being married every day. My husband and I live in Bennington, NE with our two dogs, Roman and Griffin. I enjoy reading books of all kinds when I can find the time and am a TV and entertainment news junkie. Most of all, I love spending time with my family, especially my nieces.
