Heather O'Brien
Student, Athletic Department Intern, and Sports Performance Trainer in Indianapolis, Indiana
I am currently a senior at DePauw University earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology, with a minor in Communications. While at DePauw, I have been a captain for the Varsity Women's cross country and track and field teams, earning several All-Conference, All-Region, and All-Academic honors. Aside from my world spinning around running, I am also involved in Lamdba Pi Eta, Mortar Board, Timmy Global Health, DePauw Dance Marathon, as well as the Director of Academics for Alpha Phi Fraternity.
Even though I was born and raised in Indianapolis, I believe that traveling and exploring new opportunities is what helps me grow and motivate myself the most. I thrive on the "you can't do that!" or "that's crazy!" I am energized and motivated mostly by people and I work hard everyday to surround myself with as many people as possible who are smart, caring, and remind me to laugh.
I am a running enthusiast and spend the majority of my time watching or participating in athletics. I love everything about them- the challenge, the fast pace, the teamwork, and the competition. I love how relevant athletics are to the game of life, and I am hopeful to spend my professional life working in the wide-world-of-athletics.
