I am first and foremost the mother of two boys (the loves of my life), another son that I call my own (he just showed up on my couch at Christmas a few years ago and never left) as well as high school exchange students from all over the world (Germany, Finland, South Korea, Denmark). I am a strategist by trade but artist at heart. I have been an artist, lawyer, business consultant and most recently IT HR consultant and adjunct professor at IU. Some may say that I can't make up my mind on what I want to do when I grow up -- I say I am a survivor. I am working on my first novel (hope to have excerpts posted on my blog soon) and love multicultural experiences, quirky individuals, and good coffee. If I were an X-man I would be Worst Case Scenerio Girl. My motto is never give up. Ever. My favorite place in the world is the beautiful state of Kentucky (oh how I miss Louisville) but unrequited love from 30 years ago brought me to where I am today. I am most proud of the fact that I passed the US Army PT test (so officially I am a bad ass) as well as my work that I am doing as Treasurer of Youth For Understanding, an international non-profit whose mission is bringing multicultural understanding and peace to families all over the world. My belief is that if everyone did one good random act of kindness each day the world's problems could be solved. Pollyanish (and infuenced by Malcom Gladwell) I know but what is there left but hope. Peace out.
