I am currently on maternity leave with my 2nd daughter and enjoying motherhood.

During college I studied to become a medical administrative assistant, which landed me a job at the head office of a successful optometrist with several doctors in his practice in my home city, Calgary, AB. I found optometric assisting quite enjoyable, as I love working with people. I continued this field during my transition to my current city, Lethbridge AB.

Prior to the birth of my second daughter this year, I held the position of Communications and Events Coordinator at the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce for several years (less one year during maternity leave with my first daughter). This position allowed me to grow creatively, enhancing my skills in media and networking. I was responsible for organizing various business mixers and events, website maitenance, social media management, committee project coordination, email marketing and many other administrative duties. I was able to work closely with our organization's volunteers, which truly are the "lifeblood" of any volunteer organization. I will miss the fast pace of this position, as well as the vibrant people I was fortunate to work and collaborate with.

Now I am lucky to be spending time with my 2 beautiful daughters. They, along with our goofball boxer "Vinny", keep me and my husband, Brad, very busy.

Brad and I are anticipating the plotting of a new garden this year, to do our part in providing healthy non-modified, organic foods for our family. Organic and natural foods and products have become something we have taken a great interest in.

In the winter season, I hope to return to the slopes as I continue to learn how to snowboard. :-)
