A conductor with Chicago’s commuter railroad system Metra, Hector Mariscal endeavors to deliver all passengers under his care to their intended destinations promptly and safely. In this role, he has received multiple awards for completing various Metra emergency evacuation programs and general safety classes. Hector Mariscal has also learned how to signal/switch train movements and assess train engines when they break down en-route. Before becoming a conductor, he served Metra as a foreman and an assistant foreman.

Outside of the professional environment, Hector Mariscal is a dedicated father who volunteers as the coach of his daughter’s volleyball team and the assistant coach of his son’s baseball team. He also likes to spearhead family outings to local museums and engage in family board game nights.

A dedicated Christian, Mr. Mariscal regularly attends Parkview Church in Orland Park. Over the years, he has participated as a member of the Parkview Church men’s singing group and helped teach multiple Bible study groups.
