Hector Pizarro

I was born and raised in Chile, attended San Jose State University on a soccer scholarship, graduating with a B.S. Degree in Business Management/International Business and playing Division I NCAA soccer.

I have worked in sports television broadcasting since 1994 in networks such as la Cadena Deportiva, Prime Deportiva, Fox Sports Espanol and Univision. I also hosted the magazine variety morning show 'Hola Los Angeles' at Telemundo.

I have done play-by-play and color commentating in soccer for the English Premier League, Spain’s ‘La Liga’, Germany’s ‘Bundesliga’, France’s ‘Le Championat’, as well as soccer tournaments in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Portugal and Japan.

I have covered soccer’s World Cup qualifying games for Europe and South America, Eurocup, UEFA cup, Copa America, Copa Libertadores de America and Copa Sudamericana.
Most recently I was sports anchor for Univision channel 14 in San Francisco covering all sports including NFL, MLB, NBA, MLS, Tennis, Boxing, Golf and Auto racing, among others.
