Hey there, I’m Shakil. I’m 29 & living in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Presently, I am working as a Town Planner in a leading Bangladeshi private company where I have to design neighborhood projects. I am a fan of photography, music, and technology. I’m also interested in travel. You can read my blog with a click on the button above.

I have got my Master’s degree in Governance and Development Studies at Jahangirnagar University. Before that, I have completed my four-year bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning (BURP) from the same university. Within this program, I am focusing my studies on Urban Planning, Disaster Management, Project Management, Gender Development, Economic Development as well policy-related Development.

Hence, pursuing my degree I have to do several surveys and field studies on TIA (Traffic Impact Assessment), FGD for slum improvement assignment, and other field study observation and analysis.

I have a particular interest in urban and rural development, poverty alleviation project, climate change, and sustainable economic growth, particularly focusing on developing countries.

I have been working as a Town Planner for the last three years. I cannot say with 100% confidence where I perceive myself in five years or what my immense professional goal is. The world is changing fast, and I don’t have enough professional experience to be certain about such things. However, I know that I can provide a fresh take and an extraordinary approach to every mission. I am always open to challenges and constructive feedback. I am open-minded and learn new things quickly. In one sentence I could express myself as “Shy at first but warm up quickly, better in small group”
