I believe love is the most powerful force, joy is the best makeup, our sensitivities can be our greatest assets, and our imperfections our greatest teachers if we let them.

Hi, I'm Heddy. A native of Seoul who grew up in New York, I now live on the unceded land of the Tongva people (aka L.A.) with my spouse and our quirky and lovable Yorkiehuahua rescue.

I love to read, cook, bake, spend time outdoors (hiking, camping, sitting on the beach), practice Qi Gong, DIY, play board games, and listen to podcasts. I'm a novice gardener, seasoned meditator, and a karaoke enthusiast. Writing - particularly letters, lists and in my journal - has always been a big part of my life.

How I enter public life is as a coach, facilitator, and strategist advancing social justice and collective liberation.

I've been a social justice activist for as long as I can remember (feel free to ask me about my 5th grade experiences!). My lifelong passion for collective liberation is fueled by my life experiences, including as a domestic violence survivor, an immigrant, and someone raised by a single mother in a low-income household, among others.

From youth activism to 20 years of professional experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, I've worn many hats: grassroots and coalition organizer, campaigner, advocate, researcher, grantmaker, and fundraiser. As a serial social intra- and entrepreneur (intrapreneur: launching new initiatives within existing organizations), I've established and led many impactful initiatives over my career. I've also advised and coached social entrepreneurs working on climate justice, equitable access to capital for entrepreneurs of color, equitable food systems, and the influence of money in politics.

In 2022, I launched Rosalee Consulting (named after my mother) because I believe social justice leaders deserve to be resourced to lead from the inside out, and communities deserve the meaningful change that becomes possible when they are. I provide coaching, facilitation, and strategic advising to leaders, organizations, and networks advancing social justice across nonprofit, philanthropic, government, and consulting sectors.

Grounded in the view that individual and collective liberation are inextricably linked, and that healing is part of justice, my practice integrates somatics, IFS parts work, and other healing modalities with my experience in policy & systems change, movement building, and nonprofit organizational development. I work with the whole person, the relational dynamics of teams around them, and the substantive social justice work they're doing - because true transformation emerges from tending to all three together.

If that resonates and you'd like to work together, I'd love to connect. Please reach out at https://rosalee.org/contact.
