In 2011, Heidi graduated from Lee University with a degree in political science, international relations. She was named the top student in her department and nominated for the F.J. Lee award which is presented to the top student at the university at every graduation.
Always with a passion for place and setting, Heidi took a job working at a real estate firm in downtown Indianapolis in January 2013. There, she worked with home buyers and sellers in a traditional real estate role while also assisting her broker in flipping houses owned by Nottingham Properties and Full Circle Development. She had the opportunity to test her design skills by creating floor plans for gutted houses and gathering bids and choosing finishes as the houses moved towards completion.
Currently, Heidi studies Interior Design Technology at IUPUI. In her spare time, she works on freelance projects, explores the art and delicious food of downtown Indianapolis, and creates imaginary spaces for her husbands novel. She effectively balances work, home, and school by being passionate about her goals and utilizing time management skills learned from years of chronic over-achievement.
