Lena Glikson


Born in Voronezh, Russia, Lena has received a broad musical education. She graduated from the Public Music school #11 where she studied as a classical pianist for 8 years. From the age of 9 she has been taking private voice lessons and has been a member of different vocal ensembles. She won many international and national competitions and participated in many festivals. Lena's most prestigious achievements include winning the TV children's festival Song of the year, and the scholarship of the Children Golden Foundation given to the most talented children in the region. In 2009 Lena was accepted to the Voronezh Musical College n.a. the Rostropoviches, where she has studied for 3 years (Theory of Music Major). At the age of 16 Lena became the youngest soloist of the Voronezh Governer's Orchestra, she has also sung with the Midnight Jazz Band under the guidance of the legend of Russian Jazz, Igor Fainboim. In 2011 Lena was chosen from hundreds of other female vocalists to perform in the original musical show Halloween Story directed by the producer of St. Petersburg Music Hall, Ilya Moshchitskiy. In 2012 she played the part of a nun in the musical Christmas Story (based on the Dr. Seuss' poem How the Grinch Stole Christmas). Now Lena is studying in the world's most prestigious educational institution of contemporary music, Berklee College of Music.
