Helena Williams

I'm a journalist currently based in London. My work tends to focus on on international affairs, human rights, conflict, women’s issues and the media.

I’m assistant news editor and projects coordinator at The International News Safety Institute, an NGO dedicated to the safety of news media in conflict and other danger. I compiled and co-edited INSI’s ground-breaking book, ‘No Woman’s Land: On the Frontlines with Female Reporters’, a collection of essays and interviews from 40 women journalists working in conflict zones around the world.

I graduated from City University London with an MA in Newspaper Journalism in July 2011. Since then I've written for print and online, and have dabbled in photography and broadcast journalism.
