I'm Helena. For as long as I can remember I have been passionate about helping people succeed in school, work and in life. Young people are faced with so many tough but important life decisions. Having someone in your corner to help you navigate these milestones can get you one step closer to your purpose. My programs are designed to help you develop personal leadership and self-discipline as you pursue your academic journey.

I have enjoyed a rewarding 10+ year career working across diverse industries. Since graduating from my Masters program I have worked for a community health organization, the Federal Government of Canada, a start-up consulting firm, and for Canada's top two financial institutions. Currently, I am a Director at Canada's largest bank where I am part of a team that is overseeing a $500 million dollar initiative; this initiative, called RBC Future Launch is the bank's largest ever commitment to a social issue.

I completed my Masters degree at York University where I was awarded with a University Without Walls fellowship. At York, I was part of the groundbreaking and award-winning Toronto Teen Survey team. I was also a Teaching Assistant for a first year undergraduate course which I found to be very rewarding! I've been invited to speak at several forums and have co-authored reports that address social justice and health issues.

I also hold an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from University of Toronto majoring in Life Sciences & African Studies. I received the African Studies Prize upon graduating for the highest GPA in the department.

I have been passionate about leadership since high school, where I was part of numerous clubs and I was elected student council president. True story - The school administration was so impressed with my team that they planted a tree in our honour with an engraved plaque! In university, I was one of the co-founders of a youth-led organization (Young Diplomats) which has empowered and inspired youth across Toronto.

I know what it takes to inspire, motivate, and cultivate talent so that the world can experience your unique gifts.

I live in Scarborough, Ontario with my husband Eskender and my children Gelila, Elijah, and Ghion.
