Hey, I’m Helen. I’m a student living in Toronto, ON.

I am currently attending Ryerson University studying Creative Industries. It is a BA program that combines art and business, preparing students to work in the creative sector.

In addition to being a student, I am also a dancer. I have been dancing for many years in a variety of styles. This includes hip-hop, jazz-funk, heels, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, and dancehall. I am currently training with pre-professional dance companies including School of Groove, the Badass Babes, and Army of Sass. Through my years of training I have been a part of multiple performances ranging from studio recitals to shows at the Mod Club Theatre. Outside of performance I also have experience in dance video shoots, and modelling.

In addition to dance, I also manage the social media team for Ryerson's branch of a nation-wide, online magazine called Her Campus. This role requires me to lead a team of people and assign them tasks to ensure our social media accounts thrive. I hold monthly creative meetings to look at how we can improve our social media presence. And, I monitor our social media pages to see that everyone is following through with their assignments.

After graduation I am looking to purse a career in dance and/or social media management. In the mean time, I am interested in finding part-time work in either of these field.

Besides dance and social media, some of my passions are fitness, art, and music.
