I grew up in India in a home where education and steady effort were part of everyday life. Those early lessons shaped the way I see work, science, and responsibility. I left India to earn my PhD at London University, and that experience opened my world. It taught me how to think harder, ask better questions, and understand science beyond textbooks.

In 1995, I moved to the United States and joined the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda. My postdoctoral years there were intense, but they trained me to be patient and methodical. I learned that failure often teaches more than success, and I still write down every mistake because those details guide my best ideas.

Today I’m a professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. I focus on neuroscience research and mentorship, because I believe young scientists need guidance just as much as good data. Outside the lab, I enjoy cricket, writing, and traveling. I also started the Reddy Family Foundation to support students who need opportunities, the same way I once did.
