Tony Hemphill

Durham, North Carolina

I am a recent graduate of North Carolina Central University, where I earned my Bachelors of Science degree in the field of Family Consumer Science, with a Minor in Child Development. I currently hold a position with Rogers Herr Middle School as an In-School Suspension Coordinator/Behavioral Liasion. After graduation I plan to seek employment with the Durham County Court system as a Juvenile Court Counselor.

My goal is to fulfill a role within the county court system that will enable me to educate/facilitate/mentor/teach youth. My intent is to educate them on how to function in today's society with acceptable behaviors and choices that lead to positive outcomes and results; whether it be in a school setting, associating with their peers, or interacting appropriatley at home with rules and expectations.

Life thus far has been an interesting journey; one where I have no regrets. I am from Brooklyn, NY - a city full of dreams and nightmares. A place we call the concrete jungle and where flowers don't grow from the ground. Life is harsh, but with great supporters and loved ones I was able to beat the odds and moved foward with my goals and dreams.
