I am Christian and a minister of the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk van Afrika (Reformed Church).
I work as a pastoral consultant. My primary focus is the wellbeing of merchant seafarers, fishers and maritime families.
I am based in the United Kingdom.
I am chaplain to the Queen Victoria Seamen's Rest in London's East End. It's a Methodist mission. QVSR provides accommodation for seafarers and for men who seek a place to live that offers a sense of community.
I am contracted by the Maritime Piracy Humanitarian Response Programme. The Programme is an industry initiative to support seafarers and families after piracy.
I work closely with chaplains from the International Christian Maritime Association's members.
I am trustee of the International Seafarers Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN).
