Henrik has been bringing brands and companies to life through design for decades. He is responsible for directing, growing, and constantly pushing the visual design discipline at Hot with an unremitting goal to create experiences that are both usable and beautiful.
Bringing his foundation of brand and experience design, Henrik has directed a number of projects in Hot’s portfolio of clients. Recent clients include Salesforce.com, SFMOMA, Dwell, YMCA, eBay, California Academy of Sciences, Architecture for Humanity, Cisco, SRI International, and Gap. In addition to leading the visual design team at Hot Studio, Henrik is also an active contributor to the greater design community through his work on the AIGA board of directors, as well as frequent speaking and teaching engagements throughout the country.
Prior to joining Hot Studio, Henrik worked as a Creative Director with Sapient, a large design and technology consulting company, where he created sites for Marriott International, Walmart, and Hewlett-Packard. Prior to Sapient, Henrik was a Design Director at the highly acclaimed graphic design firm Studio Archetype. It was within Studio Archetype that Henrik created designs for 3Com, KQED, Borders, Intel, SpringStreet, and E*TRADE. From 1994 through 1996, Henrik was a designer with the San Francisco office of Landor Associates, where he designed brand identities and packaging for a variety of major brands, including Lucent Technologies, Gatorade, Visa, and Frito-Lay.
Henrik holds a Bachelor of Science from UC Davis in Environmental Design, and a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the Art Center College. When he is not exploring design ideas, Henrik enjoys his time by running marathons, racing triathlons, and contemplating playing more ukulele.
