Henry Baskin

Henry Baskin has over 50 years of experience as a lawyer specializing largely in entertainment and media law. Baskin negotiates Personal Service Contracts for a variety of business professionals as well as individuals in the fields of sports, media, and entertainment. In the past, Henry Baskin negotiated broadcast rights for both the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Tigers.

Along with popular sports teams, Henry Baskin has also represented many of the emerging stars of Motown and media celebrities of Detroit’s TV and radio scene. His clients have included both management and talent of these platforms including Barbra Streisand, Eddie Kendricks, John Kelly, Marilyn Turner, Bill Bonds, Dick Purtan, and Marvin Gaye.

Currently, Henry Baskin is the host of the public television show, Due Process.Baskin has also hosted local programming for WXYZ, WDIV, and WJBK. Henry is one of the founders of the Michigan Branch of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Recently, he was appointed to the NATAS Legal Committee at the national level.
