After graduating from Sewanee: The University of the South, I did research in the Pharmacology Department of The University of Texas Southwestern Medical school which resulted in co-authoring “The Hyperthermic Effect of Intracerebroventricular Cholera Enterotoxin in the Unanaesthetized Cat” in the Journal of Physiology. I then taught and coached at the high school and collegiate levels for several years. Taking a 12 year hiatus from education, I was the Executive Vice President of a family of multi-million dollar life and health insurance companies. I opened The Study Hall in 1992 in Dallas, Texas to help students to prepare for the SAT and other tests. He has successfully worked with thousands of students. We developed all the textual and interactive programs used at The Study Hall and on multiple websites. Through these various websites, principally studyhall.com, we have helped tens of thousands of students from more than 150 countries prepare for tests.
