I am the Superintendent of Community High School District 99 Downers Grove in Illinois and was formerly the Assistant Superintendent for Technology and Learning in the Maine 207 Schools in Park Ridge, IL. Before moving into this current role I was a high school science and music teacher for ten years while also serving in the role of technology coordinator. I have been a featured presenter at conferences, for corporations such as Google and Follett, and for many government agencies in Illinois. I am one of the co-founders of the Illinois Google EDU K-12 user group, Chicagoland GEG, and have supported many schools in Illinois as they transition to Google Apps for Education. I am a Google Certified Innovator, Administrator and Trainer. My doctoral research was some of the first work investigating “Web 2.0” and its impact on communication, learning, and efficacy in the classroom. I believe that personalization of instruction, assisted by technology, allows students, parents, community, and staff to improve their skills to become adaptable and productive in today's world and into the future.

I am active in my community serving on the Board of Education for Roselle School District 12, as a manager of a travel baseball team, on the Lake Park Band Auxiliary Board, and as a Cub Scout leader.
