Kayla Henderson-Wood

I am a senior at the University of Oregon studying journalism, folklore and creative writing.

A Northern California native, I have a love black capitalism and Bay Area music, but as a self-driven multimedia journalist, my real passion is to tell stories about everyday people that can make a difference.

I aim to create accessible media that is backed by strong research. I especially gravitate towards stories about POC, Queer, Sex Positive, and other inclusive topics.

I actively work with a non-profit to support at risk homeless youth in Portland, Oregon.
