Herman L. Taylor has been an entrepreneur for over 25 years. He became one of the first African American’s ever elected to represent Montgomery County in the Maryland House of Delegates. Elected and served two terms, he passed commercial non-discrimination policies and enacted many other laws that mandated more inclusion and equity in public contracting programs. Founder of the Minority Business Economic Council (MBEC), Taylor’s mission for this organization is to advocate, educate and empower Maryland-based Minority Business Enterprise firms.
