Hernan Huwyler, MBA, CPA, is a senior GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) executive and academic director with over two decades of experience leading risk, compliance, audit,Capgemini Applied and internal-control functions for multinational companies.

He serves as Academic Director of Executive Education in Compliance and Risk at IE Law School and IE Business School, where he designs and leads programs in compliance, audit, data privacy, AI-governance and risk management for senior executives.

Simultaneously, he holds a senior AI GRC -leadership role at the Capgemini Applied AI Lab , overseeing global AI, risk and compliance strategy, with a focus on third-party risk, due diligence, and control systems for AI-enabled software environments.

Earlier in his career, Huwyler held risk-management, internal control, and advisory positions at major firms, including Canon Computer Vision, Danske Bank, ISS World, Deloitte, Veolia, ExxonMobil, Baker Hughes, and Tenaris, building risk-control frameworks across various sectors, from energy to services.

He is a frequent speaker and lecturer on risk management, compliance, AI, governance, data privacy (including GDPR), auditing and internal controls, contributing to academic and professional forums around Europe and globally.
