Hesam Ohadi

Tehran, Iran

I'm a Computer Musician and Sound Artist based in Tehran, Iran. I moved to making Electronic music in 2006 after experimenting with various styles of Rock and Metal music as a drummer for a couple of years. I made a soundtrack for Arash Radkia's animated short film "The Radiologist's Room" in 2009 and released a track in "Ear 5", a compilation CD released on Mahriz Records. In 2010 I released 4 tracks on a split album called "Spotty Surfaces" which was also released on Mahriz Records along with fellow electronic musicians Siavash Amini and Nima Pourkarimi aka Umchunga. My debut LP "Intensive Collectivity Known As City" is to be released on Enpeg, the digital division of n5MD.

Aside from my solo project "Idlefon", I am also a member of the Post-Rock/ Electronic band Photomat with which we've released our first album on Madrid-based label "Oido Records". Another project I'm involved in is the Tehran-based Duo "Bitodes" with Nima Pourkarimi focusing on various styles of Techno.

I am also a New Media Artist and have started working on realtime Visuals and Interactive Arts since 2010. I work under the alias "Kino". I do creative coding using marvellous frameworks such as Processing and Cinder and I'm a user of node-based envoirments such as Quartz Composer and Vuo. Also a heavy user of VDMX when it comes to live visuals.

Below you'll find links to the projects I'm busy with at the moment:
