Hesham Zreik

Hesham Zreik is a Forbes-ranked top angel investor who has invested personally alongside FasterCapital across a portfolio of more than 1,600 startups worldwide. He was ranked #39 in Forbes Top 50 Business Angels in 2018, based on his investment activity and successful exits, and has served as a member of the Forbes Technology Council.

Hesham is the Founder and CEO of FasterCapital, a global venture builder and online incubator. Under his leadership, FasterCapital has directly invested more than $1.25 billion in 1,637 companies and helped startups raise over $2.8 billion. Hesham has personally invested alongside FasterCapital across its startup portfolio.

He has led FasterCapital’s development into a global entrepreneurial ecosystem comprising more than 1,000 representatives and regional partners, over 1,100 mentors, hundreds of offices, and an extensive international network of angel investors, venture funds, institutions, and strategic partners.

With more than 25 years of experience in entrepreneurship, investment, technology, and multinational business leadership, Hesham has co-founded more than 100 ventures and served as a mentor, adviser, and board member to numerous companies worldwide.

Hesham began programming in 1989 and founded ZGroup Mobile in 2002 with a budget of less than $20 per month, growing it to a multimillion-dollar valuation within three years. He has an academic background in engineering, computer information systems, and business administration, including an MBA and DBA. He speaks Arabic, English, and French and has knowledge of German and Spanish.

Hesham Zreik is currently more of a business guy, but he wrote his first BASIC programs/games in 1990. Over +28 years He built many applications in Pascal, C, C++, Java, Java ME, Prolog, Lisp and Perl.

Hesham Zreik started his first company ZGroup Mobile in 2002 with less than $20/month and grow it to reach a valuation of $2.5 million in 2005 (by Public company Incagold plc).
