I would encourage every class to incorporate a unit that encourages the students to make their own suggestions on how a management concept can be refined and realigned with the modern business needs. I think it can help us to weed out any unnecessary concepts that are taught without any real application in the modern business world. The current curriculum is very strong on command and control with very little room for questioning and dynamism. Majority of students that go through this same only target good grades even if it means duplicating the contents of the textbooks with very little in-depth understanding of the whole concept. This phenomenon can explain the significant reduction in the levels of innovation in society.
