Professional Biography
Work history: I have been a teacher in the Otsego school district in Tontogany, Ohio for nineteen years. I've taught 4th grade math & science, 6th math, science,& language arts, 7th grade science, and 8th grade science. I am presently the library media specialist for our district and teach high school technology classes.
Education:
I graduated from Bowling Green University in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I have taken graduate classes at Marygrove University, Ashland University, and the University of Akron. I am currently enrolled at the University of Central Missouri in the master's program in Library Science Information.
Additional experiences:
I coached cheerleading at Otsego for thirteen years. I am currently the president of the Otsego Educator's Association. I am on the board of directors of the Weston Public Library. I am serving on our DLT and BLT for the 2016-17 school year. I have taught professional development classes on Marzano strategies, Edcite, Livebinders, uses of various technologies, and formative instructional practices (FIP). I am an outspoken advocate for less standardized testing in our public schools.
