Hugo Rodrigues
Teacher, Civil Engineer, and Researcher in Portugal
I did my first degree in Civil Engineering Degree, (5 years course) at the Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal. This was followed by my MSc, in Structural Engineering, at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal. Subsequently I did my Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, again at the Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal.
In 2014, I became a Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the School of Technology and Management, Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, where I still am today.
My scientific research focuses on Earthquake Engineering, Structural Analysis, Seismic Analysis of RC Buildings, Structural Repair and Maintenance of Buildings, structural health monitoring, structural testing and modelling, all aiming at a better understanding of the seismic behaviour of new and existent structures.
