My name is Heather Halpern and I am from Edmonton, Canada. I caught the ‘travel bug’ many years back and since then I haven’t been able to quench the thirst for seeing more of the world. The friends that I have met from near and far truly have made an impact on my life. Experiencing how others live and the happiness that many have with very little also inspire me to be a better person. I hope that through my blog I can help bring a little piece of the world to you through both my adventures and blunders!

Although I have been artistic most of my life, I am relatively new to the art world. My favorite forms of art are both mixed media and pen and ink. I love how mixed media can take the best qualities from all art forms by bringing in colour, texture, and real images into one piece. And on the opposite spectrum, I enjoy the simplicity of pen and ink. In the last year, I have been asked to draw several tattoos, as well as large custom canvas pieces. Because of the interest from those around me I look forward to creating more art and am looking to sell my work on Etsy and local shows.
