Holly Takashima

I have been teaching English for six years. I began at a K-8 charter school in New Orleans, moved to an independent residential school in Colorado, and then taught at a large public high school in Nashville. Students constantly surprise me with their awareness, insight, and energy. I want to keep getting better at creating space for us to think critically about the world and ourselves, creating power through language and new ways of seeing and understanding our very personal lives against a larger social context.
