Assisted living center Hickory Square is located in the central district of Kaufman, Texas. Hickory Square Assisted Living is owned and operated by Wendy and Ray Manning. Wendy Manning is a certified pharmacy technician and certified assisted living manager. Her husband, Ray Manning, is a doctor of clinical pharmacy. For half the fees of other assisted living facilities in the state, the Mannings’ establishment offers residents a variety of services and activities.

At Hickory Square, staff are on duty twenty-four hours a day. Local doctors and nurse practitioners visit residents at the facility, or the staff will arrange transportation to the doctor. Other transportation is available through the local trolley system, which has a stop at the assisted living center.

Outside entertainment and Books on Wheels are scheduled once a month.

Hickory Square is currently 50,000 square feet, with 60 beds. Depending on availability there are several room choices, with variations in bed size, bathroom size, and sitting rooms. All residents are encouraged to bring personal items to make their room comfortable and personalized.
