Hi and welcome to my "About Me" Page. I am the author of Hidden Deception, a Novel. It is a work of fiction that was birthed out of a subject that is very dear to my heart - domestic violence! Although this story is somewhat different from my own, I too have been a victim of domestic violence. And if you're anything like me, you've suffered from the same type of abuse (mental and/or physical), and rejection. You've been told things like - "You're worth nothing," "You're not pretty," "Nobody will want you with all them kids," "You're nothing without me," and things like "I made you", and "If it wasn't for me, you would have nothing and you won't ever be nothing." You were called horrible names such as bitch, whore, slut, etc., when those words far from described who you really are. And even when the words were not being spoken aloud, the echo of what was spoken over you continued to permeate your very soul - so much so that you learned to believe everything you heard and in doing so, you began to isolate yourself. You disassociated yourself from your family and friends and unknowingly became dependent on your abuser - just like he planned from the begininning. Hidden Deception will grab your attention from the very beginning and is sure to keep you captivated throughout it's entirety. It is truly a page turner! It is the story of a girl who fell foolishly in love with a man that rescued from an abusive relationship. After gaining her trust, she later found out the man she fell in love with was deceiving her all along and he too hurt her deeply.
