Joyce is a multidisciplinary learner—always curious, eager to discover, and embrace various cultural and creative contexts into her work and life.

Being part of a multicultural and intergenerational team has been a profound part of her leadership journey. Through various cross-cultural interactions and opportunities, her cultural literacy and adaptability have been (and continue to be) sharpened—enabling her to be a bridge builder and facilitator in cross-cultural communication and leadership, especially in international settings.

She especially enjoys immersing herself in higher education culture and ecology. One of her interests is to find innovative and sustainable ways for what education could and should be, as it responds to the needs of the students and the world they serve and live in, especially in theological and missiological fields.

She has directed communications and marketing projects in various formats, including content strategy, events, websites, social media, print collaterals, and video production. She is passionate about design and user-experience oriented thinking to problem solving, especially in the areas of online engagement, information architecture, multi-channel storytelling, and qualitative research.

Her Irish friend says she has "itchy feet"—she always looks for opportunities to travel, whether for work or pleasure. She finds a deep joy in being on the road (or sky). The miles she has traveled and the various things she has encountered along the journey have deeply influenced and vitally trained her to be a discerning and perceptive learner and global citizen.
