Dr. Hieu Vu-Gia grew up in Connecticut and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in New York City. Pursuing an interest in optometry led him to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia where he earned his Doctor of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Vu-Gia moved to the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and has been in practice here since 1996. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife, two children and the family dog, Max.
Dr. Vu-Gia is a highly trained optometrist with extensive experience in primary eye care, treatment and management of eye diseases, contact lenses, and the co-management of refractive surgery (especially in Laser Vision Correction). He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Virginia Optometric Association, and is also a clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
As a founding partner of Associates in Eyecare, Dr. Vu-Gia is proud to have pursued his dream of building a practice with a tradition of excellence in eye care. Patients enjoy his outgoing personality and caring attitude. Dr. Vu-Gia is dedicated to providing years of family eye care with the highest standards of professionalism and optometric service to his patients. He practices in Oakton, and is accepting new patients.
