HiJack Artist
Influential Street Artist in Los Angeles, California
HiJack Artist began his career as an underground street artist that targeted heavily trafficked areas like Runyon Canyon and Melrose Avenue. He primarily painted elegant black cats, which became the signature mark he uses to this day. In 2013, HiJack Artist debuted a collection of works at the Mead Carney Fine Art gallery on London’s Dover Street. The show, which sold out, included Never Too Young to Dream Big and Perfection is False. Paying homage to his beginnings, the street artist also sprayed a version of Never Too Young to Dream Big on the streets of London.
HiJack Artist continued to display his art at shows throughout 2013 and 2014, including an exhibit at the Cultural Centre Dieresis in Guadalajara, Mexico, and a show at Galerie Moretti et Moretti in Paris. In 2015, HiJack was listed by L.A. Taco as one of the top ten street artists, and in 2016 he collaborated with MSP Modern on the design of a series of skateboards for their contemporary art gallery.
