Hikari Watanabe | Biography
Hikari grew up in a small village near Geneva surrounded by wine yards. After almost ten years of university studies, he got out with a Master of Science in Information and Communication Systems from the University of Geneva in Switzerland and a European Master of Science in Management and Technologies of Information Systems from the University of Grenoble in France. The last two years were dedicated to Scientific Research as an Assistant and PhD student on MIPv6 QoS and QoE with development on Android's SDK. The result is a mobile application gathering GPS coordinates, mobile network type, speed and altitude, BTS information from the OpenCellID database and distances to them, computing RTT every 10 seconds or after a 10 meter radius move and real time upload to a server. A Gmaps on the server displays real time tracking with polylines between user locations and colors based on RTT value, with the addition of BTS radius coverage as a circle. This project was done to see what RTT value is achieved by what type of mobile network technology, and handover delays.
