Hilary Simpson

I studied English at York and Reading in the 1970s and published a book about D.H. Lawrence.

I lived in Oxford from 1976 - 2012 and worked for 30 years at Oxfordshire County Council. I now live in Cricklade, Wiltshire.

I am married to John who was formerly Chief Editor of the Oxford English Dictionary. We have two daughters and two granddaughters.
