Hilary Basel

Hi, I’m Hilary, I'm a freshman at Grand Valley State University, and I absolutely love my major of PR/ Advertising. Aside from my major, I have other interests and traits that are a part of my identity, but also benefit me as a student. I am a journalism/literature/anything-involving-writing fanatic, with quite a conscientious personality. Not only does my passion for communication and news-media allow me to converse with diverse groups of people, but it allows me to efficiently create and edit papers, emails, presentations, websites, and essays, while adding my own creative take on them. My skill-sets and attributes come from multiple leadership experiences as a teenager, such as attending a National Youth Leadership Forum in DC at just 15, or positions as a student mentor and sports captain that gave me an early understanding of what a "team" looks, feels, and functions like. My passion for helping and working with people has allowed me to pick a major that constantly collaborates with others, and I am excited to show employers and businesses how I can contribute as an intern or employee for their company.
