Hillary Siedler

Hillary Siedler attended The American University of Paris and earned her Bachelor of the Arts in Comparative Literature from 1985 to 1987. After college she returned to Northern California where she began working with troubled teens at a runaway shelter and later at a residential treatment program. She discovered quickly that to be able to be an advocate for the young people in her care she would have to have a higher degree.
Hillary chose go to the California School of Professional Psychology where she obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology in 2000.
While in her graduate program she worked at Ross Hospital, a private psychiatric hospital in Kentfield, California, first on their adolescent psychiatric unit and later as their assessment and referral specialist. She completed her practicums at Berkeley Mental Health Court Program and at Marin General Hospital in their Community Mental Health program.
She elected to move to NC for her APA approved predoctoral internship at the Broughton State Hospital in Morganton, NC from July 1996 to June 1997. Liking the beauty of NC so much, she chose to remain in the area and went on to become a Staff Psychologist at Alcohol and Drug Abuse Service of Catawba County in Hickory, NC from August of 1997 to March of 1999.
Dr. Siedler then became Clinical Team Supervisor at Alcohol and Drug Abuse Service of Catawba County from March of 1999 to June 2003. While at this position, she was in charge of the supervision of the clinical staff, substance abuse assessments, development of co-occurring mental health and substance abuse treatment programming, individual and group therapy for adolescents and adults, working with a team to develop the Catawba County Drug Treatment Court, providing clinical oversight for the Drug Treatment Court and creating a predoctoral internship site at Catawba County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services.
In 2003 Dr. Siedler moved to the Blue Ridge mountains and settled into Asheville as a Psychologist at Skyland Behavioral Health Associates from June 2003 to May of 2009. While at Skyland she offered individual and family therapy for children, adolescents and adults, she also provided nursing home resident evaluations, and completed Disability Determination Services (DDS) evaluations.
Dr. Siedler then had the privilege of providing clinical consultation and supervision at Eliada Homes, Inc. and later became their Clinical Direct
