Dr. Hima Bindu Lingam is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist whose work is rooted in patient care, oncology clinical trials, and promoting health equity. With experience across academic, government, and private healthcare, she is committed to providing advanced treatment options for those facing cancer and to closing care gaps for underserved communities.

Her career has centered on oncology clinical trials, where she has served as an investigator in over 40 studies spanning various types of cancer. By combining clinical responsibilities with research and virtual consultations, she strives to broaden access to specialized oncology services on a global scale. She also provides pro bono second-opinion consultations for cancer patients in South Asia, supporting those who have limited access to expert care.

Her journey includes clinical practice in Southern California, Atlanta, and Washington D.C., as well as federal service at the FDA, NIH, and VA. These roles have enabled her to integrate science, patient care, and equity in diverse oncology settings. She earned her degree in Biochemistry from Brown University and her Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at Tufts-New England Medical Center and a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.

She has held clinical, research, and leadership roles at various institutions, including principal investigator positions and leadership in developing clinical trials. She has worked in staff and consulting roles, contributing to cancer research networks and supporting efforts to improve trial access in different regions. She has received awards and grants recognizing her professionalism and contributions to oncology research.

Her board certifications are in hematology and oncology, and she is licensed to practice medicine in multiple states. Her professional affiliations include membership in the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and she has published research in the fields of oncology and hematology, including studies on regulatory work and genetics.

Dr. Hima Bindu Lingam looks ahead to further advancing cancer care through innovation and research. She completed a certification in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare at MIT and is joining the Gastrointestinal Oncology team at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center as a locum tenens physician.
