Ross Himes

I am a current sophomore energy commerce major with a concentration in energy transaction analysis at the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech. I plan to graduate from Texas Tech in May 2017.

Born in Houston and raised in Tyler, Texas, I have come to Texas Tech University to pursue my dream of entering the oil and gas industry. Being the son of a Landman and spending time as a field Landman myself, I have been able to experience first hand what it takes to succeed in the energy industry. I am currently the assistant treasurer of Phi Delta Theta here at Texas Tech and will assume the role full time in the Fall of 2015. I believe my experiences through internships and organization positions set myself apart from others from developing the ability to effectively communicate with others to responsibly managing an organization's finances. While I have spent time in the land sector of the energy industry, I plan to use my degree to pursue a career in the midstream sector of the industry to serve America's energy demands.
