Paulina Hinojos
Student in Mexico City, Mexico
I am a high school student born in Sonora; yet, living in Mexico City.
Since I was 13 years old, my taste for cinematography began. At first, I wrote scripts on my own; but after some time, I officially attended to classes. I took three courses with different directors and producers, where I learned how to communicate even with just a camera. Thanks to my work, I was contacted by Gary Alazraki and got to be with him during the shooting of Club de Cuervos.
After that, I engaged in new things. For example, I joined the debate team in my school, with whom we won two tournaments in the last year. I used what I learned there, so I could go to many MUN debates as well.
Also, I became vicepresident of a leadership student group. We got to teach other teenagers a wide range of skills, in order to help them be more outgoing.
Additionally, I’ve been to drawing, guitar, and sewing lessons. I won a mathematics competition last year. And last but not least, I lived in Munich for a semester where I learned German. Now, I am starting to learn French too.
