Hi I’m Derek Daniels and I would like you to hire me as your next Fire Commissioner Position-at-Large 6, South Snohomish County Fire and Rescue Regional Fire Authority (RFA). The South Snohomish County Fire and Rescue RFA is a full-service organization involving numerous levels of services to citizens.

I am running to help support the organization as it strives for independent oversight drawing on diverse backgrounds and varied experiences. My community building and networking skills, and small business ownership experiences will serve citizens well. Developing and maintaining partnerships, as well as prudent fiscal management have been essential in these roles – all valuable assets in my role as a your commissioner.

My 10+ years of IT Consulting have allowed me to work in finance, technology, manufacturing, retail, and travel industries. These experiences will add value to the commission by ensuring data driven decisions are made for the present and future.

As a homeowner, parent, and community builder in Snohomish County, I believe it is important to look strategically towards the future. As our population continues to grow, we’re seeing building heights increase. This increase in population density needs to be properly planned today for our tomorrows. Our tax dollars are limited and need to be efficiently managed every day – not increased.
